The most successful of the single-vineyard expressions from Borgogno. Wines from this cru shows a firm inner fiber. Perhaps because this vineyard parcel is harvested earlier than most of the others in Barolo, this wine shows more focus and brightness. 6 years of ageing in Slavonia oak casks with a further refining in bottle for 1 year
Grape: Nebbiolo
Appellation: Barolo DOCG
Vintage 2011 Tasting: Despite the warm vintage, Borgogno's 2011 Barolo Cannubi is indeed elegant and fine compared to the wines made from the estate's other celebrated vineyard sites. The bouquet is slow and shy, opening bashfully to wild berry, white truffle and sweet spice. In the mouth, the wine presents soft lines and a more delicate tannic approach. "Wine Advocate"
