Tenuta Nuova is a pioneering and visionary vineyard project embodying the belief and passion of Casanova di Neri. A powerful yet drinkable Brunello with a high ageing potential, it is the result of the study of varied local microclimates and their optimal exposures. Matured at least 36 months in oak barrels and another 12 more months in bottle.
Appellation: Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG
Tasting 2011:Lively, laced with cherry, raspberry, licorice and mineral flavors. The fine harmony allows this to linger on the aftertaste. Should develop well. Best from 2018 through 2029. "Wine Spectator"
Tasting 2013: A vivid and bright red with intense blueberries and raspberries. Floral undertones and tons of citrus, too! Full-bodied, dense and layered. Polished tannins and fantastic fruit. The muscularity of the structure is what gives this wine focus and intensity. So serious for the vintage. Give it time to show its greatness. Drink in 2022. Top 100 Wine Of 2018 "James Suckling"
Tasting 2015: Giacomo Neri and his family have crafted a wine that impresses from the first sip forward (especially when the wine is given ample time to open). The Casanova di Neri 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova must be treated with patience, and that patience is returned with many great rewards. Blackberry, plum and summer cherry are slowly folded into lasting flavors of spice, leather and beautiful balsam or medical herb. These are always a distinctive signature of this estate.
