In 1824 Antonio Viviani published the playful poem "Li maccaroni di Napoli", where the term "Spaghetto" appeared for the first time, since, until the 18th century, pasta was synonymous with "maccheroni". Originally they were 50 cm long, then, with time, for greater comfort, they were cut up to the current 25 cm.
