The "Baratte" (churns) were once wooden utensils, present in the family of any breeder; today they are in stainless steel; the difference with an industrial product it is in the size of the machine, in the type of cream and in the time taken to produce the butter; industrial production can reach 12 tons of butter per hour, while Le Vieux Bourg produces around 50 kg per hour in the traditional way

Origin: France

Raw Material: Milk cream from grazing herds in Brittany; before becoming butter, the cream rests for a few hours to enrich its own bacterial flora and thus obtain a butter free of selected ferments

Tasting: it is sweet and elegant on the palate, the fatty sensation is good without being oily; the demi-sel gives a perfect balance between sweetness and flavor
