Emmentaler takes its name from the Valle dell'Emme, where it has been produced for over a century and a half with fresh milk. The characteristic “holes” are formed during the maturation by carbon dioxide gases, which are produced during  the natural fermentation

Origin: Switzerland

Raw Material: Raw cow’s milk.

Tasting: Sweet, with hints of walnut and markedly aromatic
